The Avenues to Celebrate Sales Center Grand Opening
Public invited to Friday and Saturday event
PUNTA GORDA, Fla. (June 26, 2007) – The Avenues, a new workforce housing community, invites the public to its sales center Grand Opening Celebration this weekend. The event is scheduled for Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the new sales center located on The Avenues property at 24400 Airport Road in Punta Gorda.
The Avenues is a collaborative effort between the private and government sectors to answer the demand for local workforce housing. Through this team effort, affordable new housing is available with very low down payment and low monthly mortgage payment. Partners include Bove Company, The Housing Corporation of Charlotte County, Punta Gorda Housing Authority, the City of Punta Gorda, Mercantile Bank and others.
At the grand opening event, prospective buyers can view The Avenues site plan and floor plans and reserve a home with a $200 refundable deposit. Refreshments will be served.
The Avenues will consist of 176 condominium homes with two- and three-bedroom units, ranging in size from 1,259 to 1,478 square feet. The Avenues is located just east of U.S. 41 on Airport Road within walking distance to a number of Punta Gorda’s largest employers, a grocery store and schools.
